Techniques

Creating a sculpture involves many stages. The journey from the first germ of an idea to the final form of a piece may take weeks, months or even years. I spend a great deal of time looking, sketching, researching, photographing and thinking – which all help me to pinpoint exactly what I want to achieve.

This section is for anyone who is interested in some of the techniques involved in the hands-on methods I use in the production of my sculptures. It is in no way a complete guide, but here I attempt to describe the way I do things.
